I’ve read this newsgroup quite dilligently for a long time now and I must say I haven’t the
foggiest notion what most of you are talking about, although I would like to learn.
The "Bible Belt" probably isn’t the best place to gather information on a topic like this,
which is why I haven’t been able to find many of the books listed here.  Is there a FAQ, ftp
or www site where one can learn about this, or at least a kind soul willing to post an overview
of the topic for new readers?

What is the relationship of Magick to Satanism?  To Christianity? To any religon?

Isn’t Satanism, in essence, a branch of Christianity.  In other words, doesn’t a belief in Satan
imply a belief in Heaven, Hell, and God?

I have read some of applied magick?  What is it?  What are common components?

And, basically, I assume that the regular readers/posters here have one important aspect in
common – What are your beliefs?

Hello, everyone!  I am 15 years old, and I have just recently gotten
into magick.  I am here hoping to learn a little bit, and so far it’s
working…

So far, I have summoned dragons, done a self-blessing, and learned the
Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.  That’s pretty much all I CAN do
right now… If anyone has any sort of Tips for me, please let me know!

While I certainly agree that the Bible says that any of the faithful can defeat
demon easily I don’t think that implies that they can necessary defeat the
assemblied hosts of Hell, BTW the whole concept of Satan comes mostly from other
sources than the religious writing include in King James Bible.  I think the
important thing to remember is that the same Bible says that there will be
no more than 144,000 real(tm) Christians at the end of the world.  Since there are
over 1 billion people who profess Christ in the world, that seems to mean that
only 1 in 6944 people who think they may have this power really do.  This assume
the end happens today, if doesn’t the ratio will be worse.  Since to follow Christ
means to COMPLETELY give up your old life, I consider this form of power very hard
to obtain, though perhaps worth it.

        Any one who feels qualified to moderate is by definition one of

        If that is the case simply move the discussion elsewhere by
following up on all posts in the censored group elsewhere for free
discussion.  Such splits are historically acceptable in tthe field of
magik as I understand it anyway.  Don’t know josh but he sounds like a
has-been threatened by new ideas.  And if that doesn’t work cast a spell
against him.

        As a courtesy when responding to a post in a censored group to
a group elsewhere (skip the censored group altogeter) cc it to the
original poster and others quoted unless of course they fall in to the
‘pro censorship’ group since the right of response is not a compelling
issue with them.  Concersly–it is dangerous to ever post in a censored
group because your right of response is not protected.
