Can anyone recommend some good books that show how to enhance
your romantic life through the use of magick?  I’ve heard that there are
books that are specifically devoted to this subject and was wondering if
anyone can suggest some good ones to me.

I have on occasion followed this group.  I have also read/browsed some works
on ‘Magick’; mostly A. Crowley .  I am interested in learning more about
Magick.  I am not particularly interested in learning about spell/love
potion/etc.   I was wondering if someone could tell me of the various groups
and how to join them in the NYC area.

BTW: I am not sure if I am interested in learning Magick to satisfy a
particular end, rather I would like to learn more about understanding myself.

Regrettably not so. In my experience, the most effective initiations
are those where the initiate is relaxed and is aware of the general
nature and purpose of the initiation. Some solid knowledge of the
system is very desirable.  This is why the GD initiations (for
example) are not diminished for being generally available in print.
That is if the initiator knows what he/she is about.
